The annual Makoura College Snowsports trip recently took place. 16 students of varying levels of skiing and snowboarding ability went to Whakapapa and Turoa ski fields on Mt Ruapehu. They quickly learnt how cold it can get on the mountain but also how beautiful it is once the clouds clear.
